In just two days of shutdown, convert 7 obsolete AEG PLCs and 28 Siemens Sipart controllers spread over 7 panels to Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs? And this in the middle of the corona pandemic?

Nevertheless, we managed to finish everything on time and the seven installations were again ready for production on day three. The entire project represents 390 digital and 111 analogue signals in the new configurations, coming from 976 digital and 92 analogue signals.
In addition, the 7 old synoptic boards were removed and replaced by 7 pieces of TP900 Comfort panels. A Scalance XB005 was also fitted per board to link everything onto a common network.
This was made possible by a perfect preparation with thorough testing and a detailed site organisation thanks to the active cooperation of the customer.
