Standardized and customized

The most common type of automated warehouse is what is known as a unit-load Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). It involves a warehouse with narrow aisles where cranes perform both horizontal and vertical movements to store or retrieve units from the racks. These units are typically pallets, but they can also be other types of load carriers.

In the classic setup of such an ASRS, each aisle in the warehouse has its own crane. The crane places goods in one or more pick positions, where they can be transported away via conveyors or taken over by a warehouse truck or AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles).

Through the integration of standard shelving (pallet racks), the implementation of standard warehouse cranes, and an in-house Warehouse Management System, Actemium can design and tailor your warehouse from A to Z. We can also provide all inbound and outbound conveyors, necessary safety features, or AGVs to handle your pallets.

For special sizes, weights, and environments, Actemium offers solutions and can custom-build a crane to meet your requirements. In a custom-built system, there are many options to make the warehouse as flexible as possible to suit your needs. For example, ASRS systems can be developed to handle pallets of varying sizes, store double-depth, or store large steel frames with substantial dimensions and weights.

A system that falls outside the standard is a perfect fit for us!

If your warehouse is still in good condition but no longer meets the desired performance, you can also count on us. With our extensive electrical and mechanical expertise, combined with our own WMS system, Actemium has all the tools needed to perform a complete retrofit of your existing warehouse.
