Remanufacturing to enhance circular economy

It is not always necessary to completely replace an old machine. With our remanufacturing offering, we will modify, update and improve your old machine so that, at the end of this process, your machine has the performance, quality and specifications of a new machine and is fully compliant with Industry 5.0 standards.

Moreover, remanufacturing contributes to the circular economy by prolonging the life of components while adding value to your production process. Your original investment is preserved as your current machine is upgraded and it is a more economical and sustainable alternative to investing in a new machine. The obsolete systems being replaced can still be sold later on the second-hand market as spare parts. The new parts in your machine (e.g. motors, drives, etc.) are often much more durable and help you save energy and costs.

A remanufacturing of your machine therefore involves much more than just revamping the PLC control system (retrofit). Besides replacing all major obsolete systems, a number of technical modifications are also made to increase the functionality, availability, quality and productivity of your machine. The machine is optimised and brought up to the level of Industry 5.0 to meet your needs even better. The risk of breakdowns and failures is minimised and maintenance costs are reduced. Problems or breakdowns can even be solved remotely within a cyber-secure environment.

In addition, remanufacturing has a few other important advantages over installing a completely new machine: that is, in most cases it is also financially more advantageous, the risk is lower and the changeover time is a lot shorter than setting up a new machine from scratch. If your current machine no longer complies with machinery directives, we can also do an RI&E study, including CE certification, to ensure the safety of your machine.
